Hop Separation

Efficient hop separation after Dry Hopping

Together with the experts of the hop refiner Simon H. Steiner Hopfen GmbH based on the idea of the "BeerCleaner" the HopSteiner was developed.

Based on the curved screen technology, new possibilities in the dry hopping process have been created, while reducing beer losses by up to 60%.

  • Reduction of beer losses
  • Defined and gentle separation of the hop sludge
  • Relief of the periphery and subsequent processes
  • Simple and flexible handling
  • Additional technological possibilities for the dry hopping process

In cooperation with Simon H. Steiner Hopfen GmbH

Beer losses & process savings

  • Saving of beer losses up to 60 %
  • Separation of the hop sludge with an average dry matter content of 12 %
  • Reduction of the dry hopping process time

Operational safety & economy

  • Lower operating and maintenance costs for downstream centrifuges
  • Longer service life of beer filtration systems
  •  Avoidance of clogging and blockages through targeted removal of the hop lees
  • Hygienic Design
  • Static system with minimum maintenance costs

Technology & Flavour

  • Separation in all phases of fermentation and lagering
  • Separation of hops possible independent of sedimentation
  • Oxygen pickup < 20 ppb
  • Gentle separation of the hop particles

Simple handling

  • Simple manual operation
  • Mobile frame unit

Throughput rates

  •     up to 100 hl/h
